Help break the poverty cycle. Celebrate the difference a bicycle can make.
Bicycles can be a life-changer for children living in extreme poverty in countries like Sri Lanka – where the journey to school can take hours by foot. Arriving tired it’s hard for young minds to learn. The gift of a bike helps a child get to school safely and on time.
Matt co-project managed the event from its initial creation in a boardroom, to the marketing design, and staging of the sculpture in Auckland’s docklands.
The line, ‘Help us break the poverty cycle’ was thought up whilst Matt was cycling to the ChildFund office.
All the bikes on ChildFund’s Tree of Bikes were donated by generous Aucklanders. When the Tree came down, they were given to community groups in the city. The concept raised a large amount of awareness for ChildFund’s Gifts that Grow catalogue, and made national news.
