Design out Drowning was an initiative set by the RNLI’s Innovation Team. The national charity aimed to develop a portfolio of sustainable products, services and interventions that reduce the risk of drowning in Cornwall and Devon.
Appointed as part of the Design Out Drowning team, we worked alongside service design agency Made Open Communications to research how and why people get into trouble at the coast.
We then consolidated our findings into a series of design briefs, which are open for creative thinkers, makers and doers to respond to.
Ridgeline Studio continue to work with the RNLI on design projects going forward.
